Edges softened by light.
Lamina is a spatial composition that explores contrast through layering — of light, material, and threshold. The architecture is defined by horizontal planes that seem to float, suspended between earth and air. The interiors follow suit, blurring the boundary between inside and outside with framed openings, low ceiling lines, and surfaces that invite touch. The visual goal was to convey this quiet tension between structure and softness.

Each image was crafted to feel like a slice of time — not static, but gently held. Cool shadows meet warm light across brushed concrete, linen upholstery, and stone details. The design speaks in restraint: no ornamentation, just rhythm. Rather than highlight individual pieces, the renderings let the space breathe as a whole, relying on composition and light to guide the viewer.

The rendering process emphasized clarity and control. We used high dynamic range lighting to recreate the spatial rhythm of sun and shadow throughout the day. Materials were tuned to remain subtle even in close-ups, avoiding visual noise and maintaining a cohesive tone. The post-production workflow focused on preserving atmosphere over enhancement.

Designed by Thái An, Lamina is a project about perception — about what happens when architecture doesn’t demand attention, but earns it through silence, repetition, and grace.
